Switch PSP voices ?
Hi,

First thing, I own the original PSP (JPN) cartidge.
I've tried to find the OGG files in the dump but there are no .ogg files in the BGM folder, only .at3 files...

Another question, which OGG contains the voices in the steam version ? I've listened to all .ogg and it's all bgm's...

Thanks

psp uses a different format for audio
you may wanna consider going to other places if youre interested in ripping these and hopefully creating a fan patch like the oath in felghana one

arg too bad it's not an easy swap... I could try to convert the AT3 files or even create a "custom voices" file but I don't know which file to swap in the steam folder. I (think) I've checked every file. :/ I wont get a third version of the game only to hear grunts and battle cries :p

You'll want to convert AT3 files to WAV, then pack them into ED6_DT1B.dat container and recreate paired ED6_DT1B.dir file describing WAV positions in the new .dat file.

Alternatively, see https://twitter.com/Aeana

The files are ed6se1000.vag to ed6se1501.vag in the /data/se/ folder based on what I heard. Alternatively you can check the twitter Cyber mentioned.

Yup thanks, it seems that guy has already done the converting. I'll try his patch this evening

didn't expect this to happen so soon

It happened because the audio files were easy to access in both versions and there are not many of them compared to most jrpgs.

Usually the audio files are packed into harder to decrypt packages for performance reasons
There were at least 500 posts worth of discussion about this whole issue.

It's sorta well-known.
