Game crashes when running in dx12 (directx12) mode from UE4 with SteamVR.
Using HTC Vive or Oculus CV1, running in SteamVR mode crashes when using -dx12. (Running a game from UE4 project with -game -dx12 shortcut.

Does not crash when in dx11 or running in Oculus mode without SteamVR but with dx12.

Last error from log: LogHMD: Warning: SteamVR Compositor had an error on present (101)

Just packaged the game and tested, same issue. Crashes when using SteamVR and dx12, works fine without SteamVR.

Hi @Beryllium - Which version of UE4 are you seeing this issue on?

I just tried with SteamVR 1.5.15 (stable) and UE 4.22 -dx12 (stock) with a VR Template project, and not seeing any crashes.

I am on UE4 4.22, tried both stable and beta SteamVR.

I created new VR Template Project, and made a shortcut with target:

"E:\Epic Games\UE_4.22\Engine\Binaries\Win64\UE4Editor.exe" "E:\UE4 Projects\VRtest\VRtest.uproject" -vr -game -dx12

On Oculus I have to add priority in DefaultEngine.ini so it runs in SteamVR instead of Oculus.
[HMDPluginPriority]
SteamVR=50
WindowsMixedRealityHMD=40
OpenXRHMD=30
OculusHMD=20

Tried different machine with same setup, and HTC Vive without the priority override and crashes as well.
