Toggle pick up and drop interactable object
I've just gotten started with SteamVR and I'm encountering a pretty basic problem that I'm sure people here can help with.

I've got a scene set up in Unity with working teleportation and throwable objects, but I want to change the method of picking up the throwable objects from holding down the trigger or grip, to a toggle (ie: one press to pick up, no held button required to continue holding, then another button press to let go of the object)

How would I go about doing this?

Maybe check out the bow object in their Interactions demo scene. Once it is picked up, you dont have to hold anything down to keep it held.

I would like to find an easy solution too. I have spent a couple hours trying to replicate the bow (but with another tool) without success. kinda close though. I cannot believe how extremely difficult this is, when in other toolkits, it is one simple checkbox.

FYI, I gave up on the ItemPackage idea (mimic the longbow). After a couple more hours, I had my item functioning like the bow. Bad news, my item has a laserpointer on it. This was causing issues that I could not resolve.
I am going to try and switch action sets upon item pickup. The new action set will either not have a grabgrip button, or it will be in a different place. (or have to be held down a long time to drop item)
