3.7.5 Beta completely breaks everything?

Noticed VR games just stopped working, only loading non-vr mode. Checked, and .4 beta was replaced by .5 in the steam play menu, .5 doesn't run any VR game in VR. Tried changing back to .3, doesn't even let it? It says it requires a restart but never downloads .3, only stays on beta .5.

Is it just some weird local issue for me or what?

It actually does? Purged steam, deleted all .dirs related to it, all files; reinstalled, re-entered Beta steam, steam vr Beta, 3.7 Proton - it worked again. Changed to 3.7.5 Beta Proton? It all breaks again. VR games no longer communicate with the openvr bridge. As of current time, it breaks VR, if it doesn't past this post, there's been (hopefully) a patch.

I can't use 3.7-5 Beta either. I had no problem reverting back to 3.7-3, though

Yeah I don't know what made the issue with reverting back to 3.7-3. I couldn't reproduce it. It could have been a file I messed with personally, and it could've been a botched release that was quickly fixed but left some residual issue (saw some reports about the initial release of 3.7-5 not actually fully installing itself). It was probably the former, in my case, but either way - it's borked for VR sadly. Have to stick to 3.7.3 and wait for the next release.
