SteamVR

SteamVR

SteamVR failed to initialized for unknown reason (Error: vrclient shared lib not found (102))
ISSUE
When launching Steam VR from a Meta Quest 3 using Virtual Desktop, Steam VR shows the error in the title (error 102). However, Steam VR will still open up in the headset, but the menu appears to be from an older version. Steam VR still works after that.

If I use Steam Link instead of Virtual Desktop, on my PC I can see The Steam VR Launch button switch from "Launch to "Stop" to "Launch" to "Stop" over and over until eventually Steam Link says in the headset that it could not connect.

I am using the latest Steam VR beta.

OS
Windows 11

STEPS
1) In a Meta Quest 3, run Steam VR on a PC through either Steam Link or Virtual Desktop.

RESULTS
If using Virtual Desktop, Error 102 (see the title) is thrown, the Steam VR menu looks like it's from an older version, but Steam VR will still operate normally as far as I can tell.

If using Steam Link, The Steam VR launch button will switch from "Launch" to "Stop" repeatably until Steam Link in the headset says it could not connect.

EXPECTED
When using Virtual Desktop, no error to show up and the newer Steam VR menu to be used. When using Steam Link, for it to open up Steam VR successfully.

The solution posted here fixed the issue for me: https://www.reddit.com/r/SteamVR/comments/1eum7qb/steamvr_facing_the_error_vrclient_shared_lib_not/

That is, reinstalling the "DirectX June 2010" cluster from the link below:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=8109

I had to restart my computer and launch Steam VR twice, then the issue was resolved.
SOLUCIONADO: en mi caso , instalar DX10 y despues del ultimo DirectX
