[Solved] AMD driver breaking 90HZ refresh rate on valve index

Hello Everyone,
I'm having a bug were I can't switch my headset off 120Hz to 90Hz.
120Hz is smooth and fine, but I wanted to get a more consistent frame rate, so I decide to drop the refresh rate down to 90, this used to work just fine, but now after a graphics driver update, 90hz is really lagging, and fpsvr is reporting a full millisecond frame time from the gpu with purple lines. Not sure if there's anything I can do to fix it since it seems like a driver issue to me, but I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing something similar.

rolled back to graphics driver to Adrenalin 24.9.1,
set steamVR to beta branch
90Hz working again

I did try the previous release of steamVR in the betas tab, same for the beta branch. No Dice.

I got it running smooth again at 90Hz after rolling back my amd driver but breaks a number of other things. a ton of weird artifacts.

I am still on Adrenalin 24.4.1 because of the risk to change the driver. Maybe i will try the new generation of AMD-Drivers next year. Maybe !!!

Maybe I just try rolling back graphics drivers till I find one that works lol, so is this a common issue for amd graphics cards and steam VR?

rolled back to graphics driver to Adrenalin 24.9.1, 90Hz working again
