Disable Hand Tracking in Steam Link (Beta)
I use hand tracking to start Steam link on my Quest. But I use Index Controllers in a MixedVR setup. In games like VRChat, the game registers additional controllers (hands) as trackers which can make calibrating full-body more difficult.

Being able to disable and enable hand tracking easily through the SteamVR overlay would be a massive QoL feature to avoid situations like this and can also help prevent accidental inputs and the overlay cursor from flying around when it loses tracking.

Thank you for the continued updates as always.

I've got a simillar setup and encountered the exact same situation.
It's a great feature, but an option to manaully disable hand tracking would be greatly appreciated!

For anyone with the same problem, as a workaround I'd recommend disabling the handtracking in the settings on the headset.

I am also affected by this, my problem is that I dont have controllers for the headset and if I disable hand tracking I can't control it

When no controllers are connected and hand tracking is disabled, you will see a little white dot in the middle of a screen. It acts as a cursor, and yor volume increase/decrease buttons as a selection keys. You should be able to operate the headset by hovering the dot over fields of your interest and pressing one of the volume buttons to select them.
