Steam VR Open XR runtime on oculus/meta quest headsets is horrible

There is a fix but it requires oculus software: https://www.oculus.com/rift/setup

but I'm using Steam VR Open XR runtime with Steam Link (and I did try virtual desktop as well) and any game using open xr to run is so laggy it's unplayable.

And if it's important I'm using Windows 11.

1. Please provide your CPU/GPU Combo. If a laptop, what laptop?
2. What is your router make/model? How are you connected to it (i.e. is your PC wirelessly connected)
