Any idea why game stuck at next up screen from Steam Link on Quest?
Trying out steam link and run into this odd issue

1. Steam link from Quest 3 connected
2. SteamVR started since I am at my 3D home
3. Launch game from home
4. Get to the next up screen. Game started in the background, I can hear the game music but no visual. The game do start but somehow it's not connected to the steamer?

Anyone one know how to resolve the issue. Would love to figure this out and give Steam Link a try.

What game are you trying to launch?

There are many OpenXR titles that require swapping runtime back to SteamVR if you previously had another OpenXR runtime installed. To be sure that is not it, when SteamVR is launched, go into SteamVR settings via the ≡ button in the top-left of SteamVR on your Desktop. Go under "OpenXR" and select "SET STEAMVR AS OPENXR RUNTIME" for your system. Restart SteamVR. If your problem persists, it may be a deeper issue that we can look into.

Tried doing this, didn't work
The game will launch fine but the game and home will be laggy as all hell through Steam Link, using Quest Link i get buttery smooth lag-free access to the SteamVR home, but launching any game, in this case Five Nights at Freddy's; Help Wanted 2, will keep me in the next up menu, the game will boot on my PC fine and i can hear sounds the game is making, but can't play it at all, I tried doing the OpenXR thing, even though I don't know if the game is OpenXR or not, but it didn't work, any help?

Can you try other OpenVR Apps to see if it's an OpenXR/OpenVR issue? Examples of common OpenVR apps include The Lab, Space Pirate Trainer and VRChat. FNAFHW2 and Beat Saber are OpenXR.

Just to double check, I did try launching FNAFHW2 from Steam VR Home on Steam Link and it worked successfully, but if we can narrow it down that would be really helpful.

Additionally, What CPU/GPU are you using and are you on a laptop?

I’m currently trying to launch War thunder on my meta wuest 2, but ever time I get stuck in the void with the up next with the little photo of the game, but it launches in my computer fine and is on my monitor and I’ve tried everything

• SET STEAMVR AS OPENXR RUNTIME
• uninstalled and reinstalled steam VR
• Game is beating launched in VR mode
But no matter what I try it doesn’t work
