Quest 3 steam link no microphone

I have all the correct audio channels showing, (oculus virtual audio, steam streaming) but no mic audio goes through either. I have restarted pc and mic isn't muted in the headset. I am not using audio with the quest 3 so I am unsure if that's also not working.

Hi,
We're taking a look at issues relating to input/output audio with Steam Link.
As a first step, can you try increasing "Steam Streaming Microphone" microphone volume? You can do this in Sound Settings. Under input, click "Steam Streaming Microphone" and increase the input volume.

Im having this issue too. For some reason the headset mic doesn't work but my desktop headset does work for sound and audio output

Please could you try bumping your "Steam Streaming Microphone" input volume up in windows settings and seeing if this helps resolve your issue?

same issue, steam is set up to pick up oculus virtual audio device. It's picking up nothing though. I think the arrangement is this, steam is supposedly getting the oculus virtual audio from the oculus mic, then vrchat gets the steam streaming input which should lead back to oculus virtual audio. But alas it picks up nothing.

I attempted to bump up the volume in system settings and it hasn't helped.

I appear to have the same issue. Tried it in DEMEO, could hear the other player, but the mike did not register me talking.

I'm also having the same issue, but only with Steam Link. When I use the method with the Oculus app + Steam VR I'm fine, however I'm looking to reduce the number of steps to get into games, so Steam Link seems to be perfect. I just have not yet figured out how to get the Quest 3 mic to work.

Same problem here too, pretty annoying. In windows, Steam Streaming as input is maxxed out and unmuted.

Anyone have a solution yet? Expensive device that can't use a microphone is laughable.
On top of that the quest 3 can't use the Oculus software, supremely laggy, where both our Q2s, no problem with the oculus software at all. Seems the quest 3 has some issues.

Have you tried using the volume setting on the SteamVR Dashboard under the speaker button? Make sure that it's all the way up.

Also, make sure you aren't muted in-headset.
