SteamVR

SteamVR

[SOLVED] SteamVR Home room no longer loads.
All of a sudden when I put SteamVR on I just get a white empty room with CGI representations of the sensors that are on the wall and the ability to view my motion controllers. Everything else is just an empty white room with blue outlines defining my 2mx2m play space as a cube.

Before I got the Steam VR Home Room the instant I enabled SteamVR, where I could muck about with the Vive, teleport into a garden area, customize the room and garden a bit and launch previous VR titles from a screen on the wall in the room.

I even opted in to the beta version of Steam VR (Not the MacOS ones but the Beta for PC) and nothing has changed. Is there something I must now do to bring up the home room after SteamVR's last update or is there a bug introduced and only Valve can fix it in an update?

How am I supposed to launch a VR title while in VR when all I see is a white empty room?!

Please assist

P.S. another issue I get after the update is after I turn SteamVR off, the sound doesn't return to my speakers anymore. I have to go into windows playback devices and manually set speakers as default to get sound back to my speakers now. The sound used to return to my speakers automatically after quitting SteamVR before the last update.

SOLUTION:
It seems that after the update SteamVR Home no longer automatically loads. I have to press the button on the side of my HMD and enter what looks like Big Picture Mode, select VR and launch SteamVR Home from there every time now. Before the SteamVR update SteamVR Home was launching automatically as soon as I turned on SteamVR.

Please Valve add an option to have SteamVR start in SteamVR Home on launch added as an option in settings on the next SteamVR update?
