Solved - Keyboard not working anymore as soon as Steam VR app opens
I have not used Steam VR for 2 weeks and today, upon trying VR again, I noticed that keyboard/mouse input is no longer working as soon as Steam VR is open.

I am using a Logitech K400 Plus (wireless keyboard + touchpad) and it stops immediately responding as soon as Steam VR is open. No cursor movement, no windows key, no Alt+F4, etc.

If I close Steam VR everything returns functional.

This is problematic for VR games where, for example, you need to press function keys (which I can't find on the virtual keyboard).

I am 100% sure it started recently as I was always using the wireless keyboard to minimize Steam VR window or launch task manager when a game was hanging.

I have also validated Steam VR integrity and no error was found

I uninstalled and re-installed Steam VR without any success

Another strange thing I noticed is that, when viewing Desktop from within Steam VR, I was trying (using Valve knuckle to control pointer) to reach device manager and see if keyboard was deactivated.
However, as soon as Device Manager window appeared with all the various entries, I was NOT able to click anywhere: I could move the pointer around but no click was detected anymore.

Does anybody know how to re-activate keyboard+mouse when Steam VR is running? Is there any setting that I might have involuntarily changed?

Copying and pasting also here in case it might help:

I have tried another USB port and it greatly helped

I discovered that the problem is the radio channel between keyboard the the Logitech Unifying USB dongle. From Logitech Option I could see keyboard was no longer detected as soon as Steam VR was launched.

I have tried uninstalling and re-installing Logitech Options but the problem was still there.

When I move the USB dongle to another port it works much better, however once in a while it still loses temporarily connection, especially when I move close to VR headset (Valve Index)

It's very strange however that this started recently, I did not experience the same before.

Is it perhaps a Steam VR update they might have tweaked bluetooth power settings on the headset and it now create interference on the radio channel used by Logitech Unifying USB dongle?

I have tried changing bluetooth channels from Steam VR Base Stations settings to other than 1 and 2, but I didn't really notice any improvement

For the moment I am using a USB extension and moved the keyboard USB dongle closer to my play area.
