Unplayable lag when monitor has freesync enabled.
Having Freesync enabled in the AMD drivers causes stuttering in games, it seems to happen most when the chaperone gets activated and there is a GPU frametime spike.

Steps to reproduce stuttering:

1. Have a Freesync monitor with Freesync enabled(AMD driver > settings > display > Adaptive sync compatible on)

2. Open Pavlov stand in the menu and move around activating the chaperone, when the GPU frametime spikes the game stutters. Or join a big 20 man server to really feel the lag.

3. Restart SteamVR then disable Adaptive sync compatible in the AMD drivers and try again, for me I still get spikes when the chaperone activates but I don't get the unplayable stuttering anymore.

My hardware:
GPU: AMD 5700 XT drivers: 21.9.1
CPU: 3700X
Monitor S2719DGF 144hz freesync
valve index
Windows 10 steamvr beta

I found the same issue, and seemed to resolve when I just toggled the AMD driver control panel Freesync (Adaptive Sync Compatible)
I was having this issue, and upgraded to win11, thinking it would go away and it did; Until I turned on Adaptive Sync Compatible.
I reported this bug to AMD as well through the Radeon control panel (AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition)
