SOLVED. SteamVR crashes Oculus Rift S when playing games.

Is anyone else having issues with SteamVR when using Oculus Rift S? I can play games through the Oculus app without any issues after I updated my drivers, but SteamVR constantly crashes a few minutes after launching a game. Whenever I am in the SteamVR home or in a game my headset will beep at me and cut to black and SteamVR says that the headset was disconnected. Games and SteamVR home will launch and I have no issues during the few minutes before crashing. Is anyone able to help me or is experiencing the same issue?

I have tried:
-Reinstalling Oculus software
-Reinstalling Steam
-Reinstalling SteamVR
-Installing Steam VR Beta
-Updating Windows 10 Pro
-Updating Drivers
-Disconnecting and reconnecting Oculus Rift S
-Turning my computer off and back on
-Launching both Oculus and Steam in administrator mode

Games I have played on Steam that crash:
-Beat Saber (Family shared)
-Hotdogs, Horseshoes, and Hand grenades

Games I have played on Oculus and do not crash
-Oculus Medium
-Fruit Wars
-Quill

I am running the latest firmware of Oculus, all my drivers, and Windows 10 Pro are up to date.

TLDR: SteamVR crashes but Oculus app does not when using Oculus Rift S

Solution: If you are using an USB extender it can cause USB communication issues. The solution for me was to try a different extender and since I tried a new one I have had no problems. Support said that extenders are finicky if they work or not since a lot of information is being sent through one usb 3.0. yeah. when I play a game in steam vr, after about 10 mins, it would beep, fade to black, and make a static sound. it started doing this like 3 weeks ago and now it happens everytime I play vr, and it seems it's getting worse

Just thought I'd chime in here in case anyone gets this and finds this thread at the top of Google as I did. I had the same issue, but no Razer software installed. Turned out in my case my Antivirus (Bullguard) also has a "Game Boost" option which was causing the same thing.

This fixed my problem with crashing but everytime i load into blade and sorcery it lags out incredibly bad
