New Valve index left controller finger tracking grip sensor broken?

My new Index controller arrived and as I was testing it I found out the ring finger and partly the middle finger portion of the grip sensor is freaking out or not tracking at all + controller's tracking decides to float and fly off sometimes, I did do the calibration method of tapping my fingers one after the other on the pad but this is different, not normal behavior compared to what I'm used to seeing.

I found out that if I ''massage'' the grip sensor pad itself left and right few times or press down quite hard the fingers do ''almost'' close completely, but not quite, also when the ring finger does close it's really jumpy, like it's trying to reset back to default open position as it's bending. My old right controller does not have any issues.
