HTC Vive not recognized by SteamVR
After bringing my HTC Vive back from college, I plugged it into a freshly reset Windows 10 computer (Old Hard Drive failed so had to get a new one), power is being shown going to the headset and the USB cables are being recognized from the link box but SteamVR keeps saying "Please plug in your VR headset". The error code I got before it launched was "steamvr failed initialization with error code vriniterror_init_hmdnotfound" and have tried multiple different remedies such as resetting the USB devices (which are plugged into a USB 3.0 outlet), uninstalled and reinstalled SteamVR, updated the drivers, unplugged and replugged everything in, and am starting to worry if it might be the headset or link box itself might be broken (which I doubt because the The headset is getting power and the USB from the HTC Vive is being recognized by the computer).

If it helps to know I just installed a brand new base station but I don't think that would do anything.

For extra details I have a:
GTX 1060
FX-9590
16 GB DDR4 Ram
500GB SSD and a 1TB HDD

I've used them just fine on the Headset before but figured I'd mention them.

I'm honestly looking for any remedies or ideas on how to fix it before I call it quits and start looking for deals on a new headset or linkbox on amazon.

I'd:
1) double check all plugs and adapters... make sure you didn't swap a lighthouse AC adapter for the linkbox AC adapter, make sure the link box's pc side and hmd side aren't hooked up reversed.
1b) If your GPU has more than 1 HDMI port you might not have the vive plugged into the primary one, but I think that'd generate HDCP error, not unrecognized HMD error, but maybe it would.
2) Find a way to try a different usb driver. Use a 2.0 port if you have one, consider a usb pci card if $20 isn't a big deal to you. Maybe your MOBO has a firmware update you can apply?

I tried swapping the cables for the HDMI and the USB to see if the cables were faulty but unfortunately that didn't seem to help (and they were in the correct order), and changing the HDMI port did change it either. I'll give the USB 2.0 port a go but I'm sure the updates for everything are all set.

I did check the Web Console and think I found something for a lighthouse driver error? I'll post it below to see if that might be something important.
