Index controllers bugging out-- hands in wrong position, losing finger tracking
On the current SteamVR version, my virtual hands are a foot 'above' my real hands in every OpenVR game, as if my virtual wrists are where my real fingertips are, and the hands are facing the opposite direction. The Index finger tracking doesnt work either, the fingers are stuck bent at a 90-degree angle.
In OpenXR (using PimaxXR so not SteamVR) on the current version, as well as both OpenXR and SteamVR games using the previous release, games put my virtual hands in the right place, but i lose my finger tracking still-- there are "gestures" as if I'm using an Oculus or WMR sort of-- point, grab, fist, the basics-- despite the fact that both in the SteamVR Overlay and in every game that shows controller models, they do recognize that my controllers are indeed Index controllers.
Everything worked just fine only two days ago-- what happened?
I've tried:
--Restarting SteamVR
--Restarting Steam
--Restarting Windows
--Restarting my headset
--Both the current and previous releases of SteamVR
--Charging and firmware-updating the controllers
--Cleaning my base stations
I haven't tried the nuclear "reinstall steam/steamvr" options yet but the results of what I have done don't give me much hope that that would work anyway
My specs, if they matter, are:
VR: Pimax 5K Plus, with Index controllers and Lighthouse 1.0 base stations
OS: Windows 10
CPU: Ryzen 5600
GPU: Radeon 6700XT
RAM: 32GB DDR4
Anyone have any ideas, anything I could try?

I'm having the exact same problem with exactly and I mean exactly the same setup (except I'm on windows 11). It's driving me insane and I'm quite happy to know my controllers aren't bricked or broken from something I did. I haven't tried all you did but I'm searching for help too. Its been a while since I've used VR so I thought maybe they died in some way. I tried rolling back steamvr versions too to no avail.

Rolling back didn't get the same result that I got? Weird.
I'm about to just ask support tbh. I havent ruled out the controllers themselves going bad tbh

Try uninstalling every VR overlay app like OVR AS, XSOverlay etc, then unplug every USB device except your VR stuff and mkb, then delete or rename the steamvr.vrsettings file in the PF(x86) Steam\config folder.
Idk how many of these steps are actually necessary but it's what steam support told me to do and then it worked

'This issue was fixed a while ago in a Pimax Play update that was never pushed to auto-update. You may need to update manually on the Pimax website https://pimax.com/pages/downloads-manuals
Please ensure you are on v.1.33.02.01 of Pimax Play." On another post this ended up working for me thank you though for posting and trying to help I appreciate it

Ah, glad that worked for you. Strange, I never downloaded that update and still got it to work. Good to see
Funny enough, my fingers broke again and, this time, updating Pimax Play and now it works fine!
