Valve Index Controller Hard Reset - How to really do?
I've currently troubles with my controllers. So i want to do a hard reset. But, i can't because every tutorial that describe this progress is not clear and the controller give no feedback at all if the hard reset has worked.

So, let's quote https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=7995-TPGZ-4643&l=english
If none of this information solved the problem, you can try performing a "hard reset" on your controller. To do this:

Plug the controller in via USB and leave it to charge for 10 minutes.
Unplug it and hold down the System Button for 15 secondn, then release.
Power the controller on again.
The controller should recover. If you continue having problems, you can click "Contact Steam Support" below to get help.

Ok.

1. Plugin controller via USB.
I guess it's meant to be plugged in into the PC, not just charging. Either way, i've tested both techniques.

2. Unplug, hold system button 15 seconds and turn on controller again.
If i have a turned off controller and when i press the system button on the controller it turns automatically on after 1 second. Ok i hold down the button 15 seconds, 20 seconds, 30 seconds. Nothing happens.
3. "Turn on controller again", well it's turned on already because of step 2....

Can anybody give some information how to really hard-reset or if the controller give some feedback when hard-reset has been done successfully?

It really doesn't make any sense just had a support reply for the same thing. Controller does not do anything to let you know you "hard reset" which either means it didn't (my guess) or it did and it didn't fix the problem.

The old VIve wands had a similar reset protocol and I believe it let you know by flashing the light and maybe a vibration too (It's been a while since I've used the vive wands). BUT I just had to do a hard reset because my controller kept failing on me for no reason, and like you said, there's nothing to tell you you did it right or wrong. It eventually started working again properly so either my controller is about to die and it's a coincidence or the hard reset worked. They really should at least code in some kind of beep or vibration to tell you it did something.

Have you tried holding the powerbutton and the b button at the same time if you do that a blue light will flash and your controller will rumble
