after vivecraft crashes twice, my system hard crashes

I did narrow down a potential driver issue to v23.9.3 of AMD's driver for the rx5600xt, I rolled back to 23.9.1. The newer driver was making it worse, just vivecraft would cause it to hard crash. but if minecraft with the mod crashes twice in one bootup due to some mod incompatibility or bug, it'll hard crash the system.

I'm using virtual desktop with a Meta Quest Pro for VR. I have not had it hard crash with any other game nor in minecraft without the vivecraft mod installed. one of the devs suspects it's a hardware issue, but I would've expected that to affect the system in general.

I do have razer cortex installed but I don't think that's the cause either, otherwise phasmo would've caused it too. the only thing I've yet to try is the StreamVR beta.
