Error 422 "SteamVR Fail"
"Oh no! SteamVR has encountered an unexpected problem." Keeps popping up whenever I start SteamVR, even though it knows my headset and controllers are connected and tracking. I tried re-installing the drivers, restarting steam, restarting my computer, etc.,

Yesterday I tried Trinus VR with PSVR and it worked fine, however today I keep getting this error message. Any advice? I uninstalled and re-installed Trinus, ran both Trinus and SteamVR as an administrator, but I just can't get rid of this 422 Error. I can't get an Oculus as of yet because of them being out of stock for so long, so getting it to work with PSVR is a struggle but would be absolutely so worth it if I can get past this error. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I'm getting the same problem and I've gone through all of the troubleshooting methods I've encountered thus far. Using HTC Vive and it starts up and detects everything fine but I get the 422 error code and it just asks to restart then it goes through that crash cycle. Room setup doesn't want to continue because of the error code.

If you figure it out please share your solution! I'll keep trying to figure it out.

I haven't, sorry. I invested in a Quest shortly after, never figured out how to solve the problem with PSVR, however. Maybe there's a fix out already, somewhere?

You need to unplug the box and switch usb ports. make sure its 3.0. That is what i did and it corrected the problem with my vive setup.

So i still have problems with error 422 sometimes ... problem with display doesn't want to turn on and so on.. i changed all cables to be sure its not cables and still had problems...

now I'm sure that I have solution for my problem...
if I reinstall graphic drivers with clean install (removing old) then VR will work... I still need to turn off and on power to the VR headset (by unplugging power cable) to make display turn on don't know why .. but it works like a charm every time..

and it holds like a week then I have to reinstall drivers again ...

So last month I got to the point when even reinstalling clean drivers did not work. After many tries I reinstalled windows and that solved the problem but just for a while ..
Right now I had another weekend when VR said "nope" 422 and I could not get it work again and I did not want to reinstall windows again..
then I remembered words of my friend that told me to reinstall clean drivers because he has similar problem with his graphic tablet as third display..
so out of pure helplessness I unplugged my second monitor restarted VR and Voila! headset has lit up.. weird.. I plugged back second monitor and it does not have signal ?? weirder!! ... so is it the drivers ? or my GPU sometimes failing ? I cant say but maybe someone else will figure this out..
