Report a translation problem

Steps:
- Shut down SteamVR (if running)
- Navigate file system to "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config"
- Open file "steamvr.vrsettings" with notepad
- Change "directMode" value from "false" to "true"
- Save file, close file
- Startup SteamVR again

There's the exact copy of my steamvr.vrsettings file. All you should need to do is copy/pasta into yours but make sure you change the G into a C or whatever your directory path leads to for your storage device.

Yeah I also tried that. All in all I think it really boiled down to was my OS. When I `upgraded` to W10 from W7, a lot of issues got fixed.
bump, but i dont think any of the newer steamvr.vrsettings have anything about the direct mode in them and changing the contents to something totally different could break them
Solution:
Delete the steamvr.vrsettings file in "C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\config"
