Error 301, a key component of SteamVR isn't working properly.
Hello all! I am currently getting this error when I try to start up SteamVR, and I don't know what the issue is, or how to resolve it. any insight?

Hey guys, I found the solution to this problem, if your Oculus software is not the latest version, please upgrade it to the latest version.

Usually you'll see this prompt in the Oculus software on the desktop, and you need to go into your quest 2 device, update your oculus software in the settings panel, restart your device and this 301 error will be resolved.:steamhappy:

Here's how I solved it, but it might not be 100% effective.

Sooo i was having this issue and I tried everything on steam threads, youtube and reddit nothing worked. I somehow... fixed this. I'm not sure what I did but I'm using a quest 3 with virtual desktop. All I did was close virtual desktop and restart it in my headset. SteamVR started working right away.. probably won't fix your issue but worth a shot.
