Error 214 Missing Driver: "The current HMD requires a driver that is not installed."

Problem with HTC VIVE Pro occurs on different computers with different hardware.
I suppose a steam update or windows 10 update caused the problem.
Complete new installation did not solve the problem.

I tried Almost Everything.... since last Windows 10 Update it is impossible to get the HTC Vive Pro working.... Damn it!! Help from Develpopers would be appreciated... opened a Steam Ticket ... will open a Vive Ticket as well...

After endless debates with HTC Support and Valve Support (leading to nothing but more Hours of Troubleshooting)... HTC Support was even desperate enough and necessitate me for sending in my HMD to get it checked for a Hardware Issue. (As expected: No Issues found) I managed to find the solution myself:

-> Uninstall SteamVR -> Go to: Preferences -> Betas -> Choose: oculus_win7and8 - v1.15.12 of SteamVR which allowed older Oculus software -> Install SteamVR -> Enjoy (everything is works as before)

The amount of Troubleshooting / Time exceeds every Network/System failure I was faced in my life before.

HTC drivers can't be circumvented with OCULUS BETA! There's no display for it. No signal to your display, you can only get into the app, and watch it on your desktop!

The proceedures yo install i,e, Vivw Cosmos Elite via Viveport. So stolen devices, as you may recomend can't liase with Steam game the headset gets initialized, ghe drivers installed, and wallah, so then it happens...

Funny, I replace a VivePro 1 with a VivePro 1 and I am now stucked with this Error as well. Nothing worked so far, I even set up the whole system again for a clean installation but nothing works.

Indeed the oculus version works but I have extreme frame stuttering and tearing if I use that old version. also most 3rd party programs don't support that version.
