When I used the vive pro, I had this issue. Only after like 6 months, when nvidia fixed the issue, I was able to get my audio working again.
During this time, I bought a wireless headset that fit my head with the vr headset. I used a g533 without using the logitech audio drivers. Windows 10 drivers fixes the downgraded drivers related. Appearantly, some people complained it was too loud and ear damaging and ended up producing softer quality audio fyi.
Once I did have an MSI Z270 with an special chipset for VR use, only on that port I could connect my O+. Try to find out witch USB port on the motherboard is special suited for VR, normally its the fastest like the USB3.1.
Now if you check all the USB connectors at the back, you noticed they are grouped. If you do connect the VR HS leave the others that are in the same group or header empty, so the power signal can not be diverted to other USB applications.
If used, remove extension cables from you headset.
If still have the same problem get ear plugs from you mobile phone and mirror the sound.
Did a bios update to the latest one
Kindof anoying that it worked perfectly fine a few weeks ago and then suddenly all of these audio issues starts appearing, seems like the same thing happens when i connect a new audio device.
