Vive controllers randomly stop tracking
I have recently been having issues with my Vive Pro controllers recently. They are only a few months old. I will be playing mid game and one or both of the controllers will stop tracking. SteamVR shows the controllers as being turned on but pulsate like they are trying to connect. If I select power off the controllers on SteamVR, the controllers turn off so they are obviously connected. When I exit out of steam & steamVR , reopen steamVR, the controller/s have unpaired themselves. I then re-pair the controller/s and then they work fine again. Anyone have this issue?

Iv been having a similar issue with my htc vive controller. I have the wireless adapter and iv had this issue on and of for a while now. Randomly in game after playing for a hour or two one of my controllers just stopped tracking. It turn on and either blinks on the panel as in it isnt tracking, while still receiving commands such as trigger, touchpad or menu buttons. Or the light turns green then after 3 seconds the controller turns off with nothing showing up on the panel. Plugging the controller up results in the first one explained while at the same time changing it from the second problem- turning off after three sec- to the first one- being on with no tracking, but buttons work. Headset and one controller works fine. In the update devices list i see an unknown tracker that i dont remember and i have no clue what it could be other than possible my wireless adapter. I hope to help in finding a solution to this problem soon.

ymo, your problem might be coming from your connection from your wireless adapter to the battery, i had that issue early on but after i replaced it i had no issues. it has to be a usb 3.0 or something because 2,0 cant transmit power fast enough i belive. order one off amazon and you should be good to go

I had the exact same problem with mine. Mine worked for a long time till the power cord going from headset to battery started to disconnect for a fraction of a sec, but just enough to disconnect the power to the headset. My cable just gave out and it sounds like yours did too. I hope this helps, sadly the issue in this thread is different from your issue.

sir... I dont see how this helps the issue in this thread... or your issue. we dont have charging issues, one of our controllers dont track. i gave you a solution to what i think your issue is from past experience. those chargers are cool but help noone. The adapter uses a usb to usb cable.
