HTC VIVE Missing USB Cable

I'm missing the USB cable on the PC side. Genuinely asking, why is the USB cable so important? And yes, I bought mine secondhand from FBMarketplace. Also why is there a red light on the side of the VR headset? Please help, and thank you.

The HMD sends data over the USB telling the computer where the headset is and where it is looking, as well as camera pass-through data, and, I think, tracked controller location and orientation. Missing cable might be the cause of that red light, if you are lucky.

Okay, I was hoping that a good usb to usb cable would work, but the light on the headset is still solid red. I know it would be best to just get the original cable, but I seriously can't find it anywhere. Not even on their website. Know of any place that might have it?

A guess it comes with the HUB, but IMO it is regular 2.0 cable, I changed it with a longer cable, no problems at all. But now I am wireless, so I do not use it. Maybe some wireless dude can give it to you.

I got a 2.0 USB cable from amazon and universal one plugged in, so I'm gonna see how well that works on Monday and update.
