Steam keeps blocking add-ons (solved)
So, whenever I try to use ALVR to play games on my quest the add-ons keep getting blocked, I restart SteamVR for the changes to be applied but for some reason the changes are never applied, steam just keeps blocking it and it's really annoying, anybody know how to fix?

What version of ALVR are you using? https://github.com/polygraphene/ALVR , or the fork that's still being maintained at https://github.com/JackD83/ALVR ?

I recommend you look in your Steam install folder, under "dumps" and open an issue on github with the crash_vrserver.exe...dmp files whose times match when you hit the problem.

Whenever I restart it it says "Due to a recent crash some add-ons that have been blocked" I am unblocking them every time

Is there a way I can stop steam from blocking add-ons??

Yes, and then they are crashing again (so fast on restart you don't notice) and getting blocked again. Have you tried unblocking one thing at a time?

Yes, I'm unblocking ALVR server then I'm restarting, but after the restart it says that it is blocked still.

Each of those crashes should be making a crash dump (as described above) which would need to be reported to the maintainers of ALVR so they can work on the bug.

It isn't crashing, steam keeps blocking them even if I close it and it says it is crashing

I can tell it isn't crashing because if I change one setting and restart steam so it can be effective it works but whenever I try to unblock ALVR server it doens't work

Based on the crashes you are experiencing, there is an ALVR log somewhere which is telling you what is going wrong. If you can find that log, it might help.

I reported the crashes to ALVR on your behalf.

Thank you, I'll check the logs.

Where can I find the logs?
