Oculus Touch controllers keep vibrating when in Steam VR
Since today, every time I launch SteamVR my conrtollers start to vibrate and there is no way to stop them. The vibration goes on in game aswell. Opening the overlay of steamVR stops the vibration, but as soon as I exit that it starts happening again. It does NOT happen in Oculus Home. I tried reinstalling SteamVR, re-pairing my controllers, changing the batteries, and rebooting multiple times, nothing seems to work.

WHY IS THIS HAPPENING!

Please could you post a SteamVR system report?

To obtain one of these, click the 'SteamVR' menu, 'Create System Report' and then 'Copy to Clipboard' or 'Save to File' and post the results somewhere. (There'll be a fair amount of detail so it won't fit in a comment here. Google Drive, Dropbox and similar seem to be good solutions.)

Many thanks!

Thank you!

Still a problem. This is too long to go without access to my SteamVR games due to way too much vibration. Please add a beta that is a month ago's build if there is no solution.

There's an earlier branch here:

Does switching to that temporarily solve the haptics issues?

Thanks!

Yes, it worked perfectly. I missed that particular Beta being an option. Thank you very much!
I must say everything seems to work a little better, but that might be placebo effect.

I solved the problem by turning the haptic feedback completely off from the Advanced Settings. I assume that the problem was happening because I can't help but moving the sensors every time I use the headset, so my playspace gets moved a lot.

Mine are mounted on the ceiling, so it is likely not that for me.
