SteamVR

SteamVR

Service status: Failed. Headset not detected
I'm brand new to VR. Just purchased HTC Vive Pro a few weeks ago. Successfully downloaded Steam & Steam VR shortly after purchasing the headset and controllers. Went through Setup and Tutorial. Thought all was well. Had to work long hours for a good week and a half. Have logged back into Steam VR, and no matter what I try, it failed to detect the Headset. I've gone through all the suggestions through Troubleshooting: pulled out/in various USB, power, and other plugs, rebooted, turns on and off beta, ensured all updates are properly loaded, all to no avail. Help would be much appreciated as I'm out of ideas at this point. Thank you in advance!

Had success. Tried several things to help.

1. Unplugged ALL other USBs besides my mouse and the Vive itself.
2. Moved the USB for the Vive to a different port.
3. Ensured all the drivers were updated with the Windows10 automatic driver update and was assured they were. And, even after I'd done that, Steam tells me I'm using an outdated driver. So, I'm going to recheck again with the NVIDIA site once I download Java in a bit.
4. Unplugged/replugged computer.
5. Unplugged/replugged all cords.
5. Rebooted computer several times.
6. Tried Beta and non-beta SteamVR. Ended up in Beta.
7. Headset must be between the two receivers. Had best luck when the headset and controllers were all between them, not just the headset.

Maybe that will help folks!
