Are you new to vive? Make sure the orange part of the box goes to the headset.
Test the power supply to the linkbox. Maybee the power is not being delivered.
Also, you can plug the vive directly into the graphics card, boot it up and see if you get a visual like it lights up in the lenses to test if working.
Could be lots of things but I'll try to replicate your problem when I get back to my office and post my result.
Thank you for the reply, and yes I am really new to Vive lol.
I made sure that all the cables were in the right side of the Link box and even tested with pluging the hdmi into the GPU directly, still the same problem.
How would I know if the headset is getting enough power? All I can really tell from it is the light on the side of the headset.
Thank you for the answer and continued help.
Do you mean drivers for the headset? If not my graphics card driver is up to date.
108 error for usb not talking to the linkbox to the hmd
108 error for no power to the linkbox to the hmd
208 error, no display port to the linkbox
Is this a new device or used? try taking the top part of the vive headset off, unplug and replug all of the connections to the headset. put your thumbs ontop of the back part of the top cover and push forward with your thumbs to remove cover, reconnect all 3 cables see if this works.

This is a new device from the HTC vive site
I have repluged the cords on the headset and even tried different hdmi and usb on the headset still no luck.
I was able to get it to work on a different computer now though.
