No Audio with RX 5700 XT (Index)

Hello, just bought the RX 5700 XT and i cant get audio to work with the index.
I can only install the latest beta / optional AMD driver (19.7.1). It's a fresh windows install with only the essentials. Realtek Audio Manager / Drivers installed for the mainboard soundcard.

I can see the Index as an Audio device. The audio bar shows sound, but i can't hear anything.

The hardware was working before with a RX 580, so is it a driver issue because the card is too new?

yeah sounds like a driver issue. also, In the sound properties ( i assume you were there), select index and make sure its the default audio playback device. Hope that works. with my vive pro, I had issues where the audio was coming out metallic like due to driver issues until recent updates fixed by drivers.

I've got the same issue with my 5700 XT. I'm thinking it's a driver issue since I'm not having any problems outside of SteamVR and the R9 cards were having Index issues too.

Opened a ticket with Valve to check if it was a SteamVR issue, but I haven't heard anything back yet.

I'm having the same issue with my new 5700 XT. Audio was working fine on my old card.

Also having the same issue with the 5700XT. I'm also having crazy screen flickering when I boot up the index.

I think the flickering is "normal" until the tracking is fully initialized? Not sure. I have the same.

DId anyone have the issue with only "noise" on (mostly) one eye after starting up? Until you restart the headset.

The 19.7.2 drivers that just released today fixed both the flickering and the sound issues for me.

Ive not had any sound issue's since launch, what i did have several times is SteamVR not properly setting the playback device when i launch SteamVR.

Yes, thankfully the new AMD 19.7.2 drivers solved both video flicker and audio issues for me as well.
