""" Thanks for contacting Steam Support.
Since you are using an Oculus Rift, make sure that you have set the Oculus Rift software to Allow Unknown Sources.
It appears your video card’s drivers are out of date.
To download and update your card’s drivers, please visit the manufacturer’s website for your card:
For NVIDIA-based GPUs: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx
Once installation is successful, please re-test and tell us if the issue persists. """
I'll try updating the drivers, but I doubt this is the reason.
This has nothing to do with graphics drivers, which are always updated in my particular case, though.
I hope they give us a better answer and a solution, if possible.
However, I did go into steam's vr settings - developer option and selected 'small space' and 'quick calibrate'. This centered it in my play space (2x2m) but the height wasn't adjusted (my waist was at floor level).
However, when I reset the view in the oculus app, this fixed the height issue.
According to below link, it says "SteamVR’s Chaperone no longer renders when drivers provide their own (to avoid double rendering bounds)". I see the logic here, because since the Oculus app creates its own chaperone guide walls, there's no need for the steam app to also create these.

BTW using guardian2chaperone give me a perfect matching area, but ufortunately after reload SteamVR it will be overwritted with the wrong/bigger
Don't see it there. Tried a search for "room" too. Can you post the appid? maybe I can search for it in the store that way and install it or install it with steamcmd.
Edit: The "game" appears in the VR menu for me when in VR but not in the regular steam client
