Steamvr Crashes instantly *FIXED*

So I took a break from my vive and started reusing it. but after i factory reset, steamvr opens with no visuals at all, no screen. then closes with no error. No idea why this is happening, the only fix i found was that if i uninstall and reinstall vive software it works once until i restart my computer. it stopps working again the same way. please help. Kinda annoying when you pay hundreds of dollars for a vive and it doesnt work

That is the link that fixed it. I followed the instructions and it worked.
I hope this helps someone out there having this issue.

I have seen another OP mentioning this problem. His SteamVR kept closing when he launched it.
His fix was to go to x86 program folder and find a folder called OpenVR. And then delete the openvr.vrpath in this path ->AppData/Local/openvr

Another friend had stated to fix his issue, need to start stream in administrator mode, unplug VIVE, and then select "Remove all SteamVR udb devices" in SteamVR settings. Replug the VIVE and restart the PC.

I promise you that it isnt a virus, the link doesnt even work anymore. Used to be a thread posted by some dude with the same problem. Link doesnt go anywhere now, this post is like 2 years old
