Did you download the playstation VR2 application?
there is a 'developer option' that resets usb devices.. (might help if you have moved to this hardware from another one)

I found the reset USB devices required I literally power OFF my PC (and actually pull wall power)... - as I lost keyboard and mouse etc... ; maybe use with caution.

Run through the above software link..
PSVR2 app (steam)

will require some .net libraries (downloaded or updated)..
and will take you through the easy process of pairing bluetooth controllers etc.

I have glitched out SteamVR to giving me the plug in the VR headset message before,.. and a restart/reset of all hardware and software sorted things out.

assuming your issue goes 'deeper'...
try another USB3 port to connect the adapter to the PC
Playstation guides are explicit in a few setup facts.. eg keep the selected USB port away from wifi and bluetooth connections,.. and 'some USB3 sockets just don't seem to want to play ball' (;try another port)

as a user recommendation..
a USB bluetooth adaptor, or a antenna extension able to bring your bluetooth reception around to the front of your PC will greatly improve the controllers 'accuracy'; as will turning off bluetooth keyboards and mice used in close proximity..

-success on your journey, "cheers"

thanks, i might just need to get a BT adapter to increase the signal strength, but i do have to wonder if the problem is that i had plugged everything in before hand, not realizing there was some very precise set up required first.

the biggest problem im having is that the psvr 2 app isn'tt registering that the left sense controller is even connected but my bluetooth devices settings says it is, its even in the "input devices"

when i tired to plug them in with USB cables, the bluetooth settings registered them as speakers from some strange reason, i guess ill really need that BT 500 antenna extender to actsually get anywhere

Yes, the quality of your bluetooth connection is insufficient.
Correct it. Or reduce the amount of interference.
