Flickering in EA WRC on Pimax 8kx

I have alot of black screen flickering in EA WRC with the latest steam version. Rolled back to 2.7 and everything works fine again.

Also saw a tip on disabling G-sync/Freesync. Haven't tried that with v2.9 to see if that also fixes the issue. I can confirm that I am running Freesync, so it's obviously a possible fix.

I just tried it with disabling G-Sync but I get the same flickering.

I'm getting this in Resonite too. Every time the game hitches and drops frames (which is quite a lot!) the headset just goes black until the next frame.
Even my hardened vr legs can't take this!

Same issue tried rolling back but that didn't work.

i am getting it in vrchat it only lasts a second but still annoying you can't get back to 2.7 either because they changed the previpus build to 2,8,8

true, they changed the previous version to 2.8.8 now. but its also working with this version. I tried several other things to make it work in 2.9, but nothing fixed it so far.
I guess it must be a steamvr issue, because it also happens in other games too.

Same here. There is a lot of flickering after 2.9 update. Previous 2.8.8 works fine.
I'm worried about the next SteamVR stable version update will make 2.8.8 unusable as normal.

I am using Pitool 1.0.1.284, RTX4090 with 566.36
Latest nvidia drivers are not working with Pitool so I have to stick with 566.36.

With the latest version of Pimax Play(1.38.01.01) and the latest GeForce Driver(572.70), I no longer get the flicker when using the latest SteamVR(2.9.6). However, there is another problem with PimaxPlay that has me a bit stumped.
