Oculus Quest 2 vs Oculus Rift S
I am thinking about getting a VR system and I'm stuck on whether or not to buy the oculus quest 2 or a rift S. The only things stopping me from getting a quest 2 are 1: the storage and 2: the head strap. I know I can get a new head strap so all I am wondering is if I can store quest games on my pc and still play them while it is connected.

My understanding is that the quest games are stored on the headset and the rift s or rift legacy games can be played from the pc.
You can play SteamVR on Oculus Quest 2. To do this, connect it to the PC using a cable or you can stream it using an app called Virtual Desktop.

I don't recommend any Oculus products. I have the Rift S and it's constantly having various hardware and software failures, and the Quest 2 is just a nerfed cell phone. My friend with the Quest 2 can't play a lot of stuff, especially in VRChat, and literally every single time I try to use my Rift S something goes wrong with it.

the rift s isn't really gonna get supported with software and is getting discontinued soon, no you cant store quest games on your pc buy you can buy a Link or any $30 third party usbc cable to play pc games. ive been using the quest for about a month now on the 64 gb model and im not halfway through my storage.

That doesn't mean it's going to suddenly stop working, it will continue to work until it breaks. The only problem with owning a Rift S is that, in 2 years time, a Facebook account will be required - so thats 2 years to enjoy VR for little money, especially since it's now discounted in price to the same as a Quest 2 64Gb.
Personally, I would rather own a Rift S, over a Quest 2, because Rift S is a proper dedicated PCVR headset, and for sim racing it's unmatched in it's price point. Just pop it on, no batteries weighing the headset down, no batteries to charge, it's comfortable out of the box, and the better resolution of the Quest 2 is a little bit lost in compression over link - and to get the best picture out of Quest 2 you need a PC and gfx card capable of rendering at 5408 x 2736 res - that does look quite good, but you need at least a 3080/3090 videocard to run games at that res.
