best app for playing flat games in vr

what is the best way to play flat games in VR on a valve index? an app that shows you your desktop or whatevver that allows you to control stuff with your keyboard and mouse, and launch flat games from your steam library just like you would on a flatscreen monitor...?

if i open virtual desktop in Steam, I can also additionally open a flatscreen game in Steam as well? this doesn't create a problem to try to open two steam apps at once?

i cant even download steamvr it says i dont have space but i have space it doesnt even let me see the actual buttons

Steam vr installs in the steam directory.
You need to have space on the disk where the steam program is installed.
It was something like 6 GB.
