Vr Compositor High CPU Usage

I can't play elite dangerous anymore! I played it last time at the end of july and it was super smooth. Now all is a terrible scatter and seems to go 20fps or lower. I noticed the cpu was at 100% and the "steam vr compositor" process was using 50/60 % of the CPU.

Please fix this, do something!

If you're still having issues with VR Compositor, try OpenComposite[mbucchia.github.io]. OpenXR can also be coupled with that. They have tools for whatever brand your headset is.

I got same problem on the PICO 4 with Steam VR and there dont seem to be a fix, its ok for the first 15 mins or so then the cpu go to 100% and it almost freezies the system if i close the VR Compositor and reopen Steam VR then its ok but I cant keep doing that every 15 mins its stupid WTF

It is about larger playspaces on Oculus headsets causing severe compositor CPU lag.

larger playspaces? not sure what you mean, i have like 1x1 meter for playing sitting down and this ♥♥♥♥ is happening to me all the same

I didn't found a fix, I build a new pc 😅.
However I'm using a valve index, the playspace is always the same
