9070 xt Direct Mode issues (FIXED)
I just upgraded from a 3070 to a 9070 xt and my valve index wont go into direct mode, and the display will just be solid red whenever i disable direct mode. Is this a driver issue? or do i need to return this and just get a used 4080

i've got the codes:

208
-202

anybody with a similar issue?

I never buy a GPU when it is brand spanking new because issues can arise no matter who makes it. Now with that being said all i run these days is AMD and i have no issues with drivers or anything else! Nvidia is nothing but problems and they just perform and look terribly. I would wait for an update or contact the maker of which ever house version card you purchased or AMD themselves if you purchased a house card. Make sure your drivers are 25.3.1 for the 9070xt.

I'm not using a Valve index, just a PSVR2 and it works with the Radeon 9070 XT.

Post the bug report on the adrenalin drivers, top right of screen

Can you download to see what openxr layers you have installed? One of them might prevent it from launching.

Use this to see them.

I dont know what i did but i fixed it. Literally shut down and went to bed, got back on this morning, tried it out and it just started working no issues
In the front of the Post tittle as Please edit as fixed...
damn, I'm having this same issue and I've had no such luck with fixing it, anyone else run into the same?
After some messing around I managed to solve this for myself by installing a slightly older version of the GPU drivers, performed a factory reset removal of the old ones.
I'd suggest this for anyone else struggling.
