For wireless its best to have a dedicated wifi 6 router only for Quest 3 with no other wireless connections. While the PC should be connected through Ethernet.
The router should be in line of sight with the headset with no obstacles in between and as close to it as possible.
As for software side, get Virtual Desktop from the Meta store. Once its setup, connecting to headset will be a breeze with minimum hassles.
This setup will solve any problems with connections and you would be able to use your Quest 3 with maximum bandwidth as good as wired but with full freedom of movement.
There are a lot of more things you can do on software side to improve performance for heavy VR games but first you need to get your setup right.
It's usually not a great way to connect your headset since Microsoft hasn't done much with it, but it could work well enough if you're lucky.
I'm not sure but this will probably mean that you won't have internet while the hotspot is active.
you need a couple of these TP-Link AC1200 WiFi Extender you can find them on AMAZ put one mid way between your router and your PC. you might need 2 depending on the distance, floors ,walls between them
