Actually my using version runs fine but i am frightend of the next update. :( Nightmare is waiting !
Due to how bad the whole VR thing is made everywhere, we depend absolutely on how bad programmers do their updates from using our devices we paid high price for it, and they always ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up once in a while, this is a nightmare that has to stop.
if its not one update its another one, this is tremendously bad, people have the right to use the devices they paid for
For the Valve headsets or anything non-meta related, how is everything holding up?
And also unistalling steam vr and installing again (using previous rn because anything else is just horrendous) The oculus version is a freaking broken joke completely outdated.
The problem might reside on how dumb steam vr uses our cpu, it eats everything it can and once certain treshold is passed, even if its not too much, the app is not ready for it and just explodes. This is just dumbass programming.
Overall in the forum a wide range of headset are having problems, steam headset included, in this new version. Quest users 2/3 are having it way more rough because they also have to deal with meta ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, that also updated and, consequently, broken some stuffs too
Vr chat also have some dumb butt programming, but these crashes is not just vrc related. Whole games can crash, especially if you go virtual desktop a lot. Used to be able to record my gameplay with 90/60 on everything mostly, now steam vr is struggling again.
Decided to sell the device and not touching vr again, not worth it, so much troublemakers
I use HIGH settings in game, which is lower than VERY HIGH and ULTRA.
I haven't had any crashing, but the game loading does slow down after about 90 minutes, so I tend to restart SteamVR and Derail Valley every 90 minutes.
I am not sure that is completely AltFutures fault - Steam is definitely screwing around with the SteamVR API as well.
It would be interesting to know what system parts are being used by those getting a lot of crashing.
Varjo Aero, game crashing since new version of Steam VR, has been faultless for months until the last 3 updates where its become less stable and less smooth each update, its now its crashing within minutes, more so when the resolution is increased to max, please provide the old SteamVR for remediation at least until the problem is solved. Please, Please Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (yes i'm begging as i'm completely at your mercy) (Added as error reporting doesn't allow send)
On top of that, people fail to realize this is also dangerous for the device, accs, and your PC. something might break.
This is such a nightmare. updates= problems, always.
