Error 451, HELP

I recently returned to play vrchat and I use quest 2. I started to have problems, like the screen freezes both in the quests and in the PC screen, right after the screen freezes it changes to another screen and I get "error 451" in the steamvr of the headset and in the PC it asks me to restart steamvr.
I tried to delete the game and steamvr and install them again, but I still have the same problems.
Does anyone know what else I can do?

I had the same problem and fixed it, idk if this will work for other people. What i did is having the oculus/meta app open in the backround. U will get the same error message but u just have to wait it out. Annother thing i did is play with the steam VR settings. Most of the time it was that my resolution was set to high. i dialed it down a bit and it worked perfectly. Hope this helped

There is a great workaround for SteamVR error 451: disable hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling (HAGS).

Navigate to Settings > System > Display.

At the bottom, select the button labeled “Graphics” on Windows 11+ or “Graphic settings” on Windows 10.

If prompted, click Change default graphics settings.

Disable the setting for hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling, and restart your PC.

I still have the 451 error. I use a quest 3 with both airlink and air cable. My laptop is a Lenovo Legion Slim 5 with 32G RAM. Unfortunately, all my Steam VR games have been unplayable for a month due to this error.

Do you use the stationary setting when setting up your safe space, try room scale and reply if you still get error 451

Same issue here with Quest 3, After 6-7 times trying to reconnects it usually stays connected at least for me tho

yesterday worked just fine, this evening after a pc restart everything stopped working all of a sudden. made no changes at all.

ok that was quick, but after switching from the steamvr beta to the standard build, i got it to work again. may have been an update to the beta that caused the most recent 451 but unsure due to me not knowing if there has been any updates or not.

to put simply, in steam right click steamvr -> properties -> betas -> under beta participation either select none if you are on a beta and if you are not on any beta, try switching to the beta version. hope this helps
