steam link "Host not responding" error 450 and pc says awaiting wireless connection
unable to connect my Oculus Quest 2 to my pc through Steam Link. Keep getting message on VR "Host not responding" error 450. PC just says awaiting wireless connection.

I have tried verifying the files through steam, running as admin, restart steam and pc, tried uninstalling steam link and pcvr on my VR, tried running steam link in safe mode.

so how do we fix it???
I am running beta steam vr. I reset my headset and steam, didn't work. What did work is changing my steam vr release to the previous version in settings for the app.
Well it half works. Starts, but not even 10 minutes into Arizona Sunshine it gave the 450 error. StreamVR was still running the game and even said the controllers were connected.
The problem appears to be in the VR Server program, which Steam can't even close properly.
So, still no fixes? I bought my first gaming laptop for this.
I too was having this issue after a recent update. What fixed it for me was going to SteamVR in your library, right click and go to properties then go to betas and switch to the previous build. Hopefully this will help a few people here.
Ever since the recent update, I keep getting error 451 "Your headset is connected to a PC, but no video is being streamed" And the only way I can open steamVR no is through Virtual Desktop...
Same as above, error 451.
Are there any staff at Valve that are capable of not f*cking up ?
Every time they release a new SteamVR, the VR community holds it's breath waiting for what Valve has f*cked up now.
Seriously Valve, fix this sh1t.

I didn't try yet but they just did an update 30 minutes ago to address this.
Yeah it is still broken. Works for 10 minute and crashes. Driver is messed up. Maybe as others have said because of the Quest updates.

I have had this problem for quite a while too. Here is what I have discovered so far... My system is all AMD and I have a quest 3. Steam links was working great for playing Alyx for quite a while and then all of a sudden i keep getting the 450 disconnect and steam VR crashes on PC. I went so far as to clean install Windows 11 Home, reinstall Steam and then Steam VR. Made sure EVERY possible thing was updated and all settings were default/normal that worked before just fine. THEN i factory reset my Quest 3 becasue I saw THAT worked for somebody. Still happening. I looked at Windows Event viewer and found out that the error that keeps happening to make it all crash is caused by SteamWebHelper.exe. That was interesting, now I'm having to figure out what that means.
i am not on Steam Beta but I am on Steam VR beta... not sure if that matters but...
Hi, have you found how to fix this error? I have it right away before I have time to connect to the computer

that doesnt work either- ive literally never downloaded a vpn before and it still isnt working- tried on my old pc and my new pc it literally does NOT work. and everyone keeps saying the same thing "i turned off my avast antivirus" "my avast antivirus" this and that but i literally dont have that or any vpns
I just sent in a steam vr support request for this same thing. Uninstalling and reinstalling didn't help, removing x86 Microsoft C++ redist. on my x64 architecture didn't help. I use both Steam Link and Virtual desktop. I can go 2 minutes and then VRmonitor.exe or the dashboard.exe causes a crash and are both in an x86 folder for some reason.
