VR View w/ Quest 3 displaying lens corner
Can anybody with a Quest 3 check VR View with "both eyes - left (or right) dominant" and see if they're getting the same thing I'm getting? I don't get this with the Bigscreen Beyond.

What I'm thinking is happening is that it's grabbing the bottom part of the lens rather than the middle and it's resulting in also grabbing the edge of the left (in my case) lens. Would appreciate if somebody with a Quest 3 could test this and see if it's a widespread problem or just my configuration.

The corner is being rendered by the game, itself because of the hidden area mesh - you will need to select another view that does not contain that part of the frame.

I'm having this same issue also in SteamVR or in other games. I'm not too familiar with how VR works, would it still be an issue?
I've tried doing this with the Bigscreen Beyond VR headset and the issue is not there, even in that same game with the same view.

You can select a single, specific eye for the monitor window if the merged view is unacceptable in your setup, in the "VR View" you can click the ≡ button, and select left eye or right eye.

I can but that doesn't really solve the problem. I guess there's no fix.
One thing I did notice is that the Steam VR dashboard works well and doesn't have that black area, but any application does not, including SteamVR Home and Grid

Hey guys, just got a q3 and experiencing the same here, I've been using vrview to stream and it's been a great tool with q2 so far... But with q3 that hidden area mesh corner in the view kinda kills it for me. Is there nothing that can be done by the steamvr guys to make it q3-compatible? Like it's not even that much, it would only take a slight adjustment to remove that triangle corner...

Unfortunately I couldn't figure it out. I created a ticket and they thought I had an issue on my end when the actual issue is pretty clear. Eventually I gave up. Even a "we're aware of the issue and added it to our backlog to fix" would have been sufficient for me, but nope.

Well, here's my 5 cents, I've been puzzled with this issue for the past 2 days and I've dug up a lot of info on the topic.
TLDR: You can use SteamLink instead of VD or Airlink and it won't capture that mesh area thing and it will work with VRView both eyes nicely. There are obvious drawbacks for giving up on VD, but it is what it is.
You can also use Oculus Mirror thing to caprture the image from the headset and send it to pc, it also works good in the sense of giving you a nice picture to stream, but it will also capture your quest guardian area and everything outside from cameras AFAIK, correct me if I'm wrong.
But eventually yeah, it's a huge bummer and turnoff that VRView both eyes is just dead for us normies using q3 or qpro via VD or just AirLink... :(

This is disappointing to hear as I have been considering getting the quest 3 for streaming games.
