SteamVR

Keeps getting worse and worse....
Why does Valve keep releasing updates to this craptastic software if it doesn't even work? I can't even open anything anymore on my Oculus. SteamVR opens. Game is already opened on my PC, since I can't browse from my headset (anymore, for months now). Game "opens" I get sound and then it says host PC stopped responding. This crap is useless.

Steam VR will break completely (All platforms supported) on April 30th, 2025. nearly one year left until it happens.

It´s inevitable.

I have a trillion pink spikes, it is broken. Since last update.

I can't get anything to run, period since this last update. Valve, you really did it. You absolutely ruined a good thing. Doesn't even work anymore. Sure maybe it's a "quest problem" but you should be working with them more to understand their APIs and everything and release updates in conjunction with them. Ya know, like normal software companies do? This garbage has been nothing but a headache since you released it. Please pull this for Oculus users because it isn't ready.

No. You misunderstand me. Your VR is broken. Others will break next (such as Oculus Quest 2). The end. And this will be just what i call "minor isssues" (People on world start noticing something isn´t right, i call this phase 4).

Phase 5 wil be much more serious and not just affect gaming-devices, but it will also affect micrphones, cameras, traffic lights. E-Vehicles will be affected too (there is a good reason many have software-issues right now, such as Tesla).

All polling-devices will fail (mainly everything which relies on USB/USB 3). Because this issue has nothing to do with VR/Gaming and or/PC to do at all. It just is about general physics laws and math.

My ISP has allready warned me "Use it while it lasts. And don´t come here, when it stops working.Because it will definitely break one day". I just laughed.

But i knew it was inevitable. Because internet itself relies on polling as well.

you have to remember steam vr isn't specifically made for oculus its for htc hive and valve index mainly but still works perfectly

do u wanna come over and play my vr?

No. Since yours will break as well.

It will be the end for all VR-software.

And i predicted that so many years ago allready haha...

Funny how it all turns out to be true now...!

Well. this issue won´t be deadly for you. So who cares.

Death comes in late 2025 in another form. Around ~330 days are left now until it begins.

And when that day comes i´ll be here to hand over wipes and cover those tears.

no, it won't break, you're just mentally ill. your insane diatribes mean zilch. you're so lost in your delusions you won't realize any of this though.

you're making arbitrary predictions like a typical schizo. your post history would get you a nice prescription.

seek immediate medical help before you hurt yourself or someone else :1033: :meatwagon:
Reported that ish.

#1 you provided zero information about your setup. no one can help by just saying "itz buztedz"
#2 it's broken for everyone and has been for multiple versions.

We got ourselves a doomsday. There's too many vr games being worked on right now for it to just die in a year.

Sorry, but ALL VR-devices will soon break/no longer be usable.Because that´s what i predicted to happen.

Your chips are not suitable for VR-devices which require HIGH polling-perforrmance.

All modern chips have LOW polling-performance. Everything can be calculated how long it will last (formula).

In the end it will also mark the end of PCI-Express 3/4/5 and the end of USB, when this happens. As modern chip`s polling will be insufficient.

When your polling gets too low, your internet will also stop working btw. Which is phase 5, which i predicted to happen as well.

It´s not just the end of VR my friend so i doesn´t matter how many gaems they planned...It´s the end of all modern polling-capable chips. Your performance is simply insufficient. This leads to severe (problable deadly in some cases) bugs, which can then occur.

Your Input will no longer be detected. Output can no longer be put out in realtime (you have to wait longer and longer unil your output comes out). And/or certain devices will completely stop working. When your polling in internet is insufficient, you will no longer get online at all. Same happens in a helicopter (i predicted even dead people through crashing helicopters because of insufficient rotor-polling which leads to a mal-functioning machine and thus fail and in the end the machine might crash).
ATMs will no longer be able to hand out cash. E-cars will stop working completely. They will just be stuck...

Yeah interesting times will come in the end of 2025 that´s for sure, as even solar systems will be affected by this little ehem problem. But in the end it was just another dumb human´s failure which lead us to this fate.
