OK, thanks man.
Anyone have info on the dongles? Does any 2.0 dongle work with any 2.0 tracker? Or do they need to stick together with the parts that originally came in the retail box?
any
Trackers 1.0 X Basestations 2.0
Trackers 2.0 V Basestations 1.0
Trackers 2.0 V Basestations 2.0
Trackers 3.0 V Basestations 1.0
Trackers 3.0 V Basestations 2.0
I have 2 vive 3.0 trackers, one vive 2.0 tracker, and I use them together with 1.0 basestations.
EDIT: Retrospectively editing my message to fix my error after being proven wrong, just in case someone stumbles upon it :)
Trackers 2.0 V Basestations 1.0
Trackers 2.0 X Basestations 2.0
What do you mean V or X ?
Wait.. What ?
Your saying that not all Vive 2.0 trackers work with all Vive 2.0 base stations?
Vive tracker 1.0 and Vive tracker 2.0 are basically the same thing. Just a different color of logo.
1.0+2.0 works with Basestations 1.0
3.0 works with Basestations 1.0 and 2.0
Odd.

I saw this post, and the guy claims that only 1.0 vive trackers are incompatible with Basestations 2.0.
2.0 vivetrackers, apparently, can support Basestations 2.0.
Sadly, I don't have Basestations 2.0 to proof-check that.
So I'm looking at buying some:
2.0 Base Stations
2.0 Trackers
3.0 Trackers.
What do I need to check in order to make sure that the trackers will work with the base stations? Is there a mark on the controller that looks like a V or X that will indicated that its the "old" version and thus incompatible with the 2.0 base stations?
You might be all set.
The gray Vive icon button you'll use to turn it on would tell you that this is a 1.0 tracker, thus won't work with basestations 2.0
If it is light blue - then you're good to go.
please just refer to what I said, I own every equipment so I know which works with which, just look at my setup on my profile, I'm rich.
