HTC Vive trackers 2.0 and 3.0? Base stations 2.0 and 3.0?

Hi. Can anyone shed some light on this for me?
Do Vive 2.0 and 3.0 trackers work with both 1.0 and 2.0 base stations?
Can you use 5 trackers of either type with either type of base station?
I'm trying to figure out what all the limits and limitations are with that specific equipment.

Also, whats the story with dongles? Will any 2.0 dongle work with any 2.0 tracker? Will any 3.0 dongle work with any 3.0 tracker? Do they need to be kept together or can you mix and match them? If you had buckets of them, could you just grab a random dongle and random tracker and make it work as long as they are the same 2.0 or 3.0 version?

the version of vive trackers has nothing related to the version of base stations.... tho, both 2.0 and 3.0 trackers will work with both 1.0 and 2.0 base stations... 1.0 trackers will only work with 1.0 base stations which makes sense.

Trackers 1.0 V Basestations 1.0
Trackers 1.0 X Basestations 2.0

Trackers 2.0 V Basestations 1.0
Trackers 2.0 V Basestations 2.0

Trackers 3.0 V Basestations 1.0
Trackers 3.0 V Basestations 2.0

I have 2 vive 3.0 trackers, one vive 2.0 tracker, and I use them together with 1.0 basestations.

You cannot use older controllers/trackers/hmd with the newer basestations. Newer basestations only have 1(one) laser, opposed to 2(two) in older basestations, making older hardware unrecognizable with newer basestations.

Vive tracker 1.0 and Vive tracker 2.0 are basically the same thing. Just a different color of logo.

1.0+2.0 works with Basestations 1.0

I might be wrong. It seems that trackers 2.0 are working with basestations 2.0
You might be all set.

The gray Vive icon button you'll use to turn it on would tell you that this is a 1.0 tracker, thus won't work with basestations 2.0
If it is light blue - then you're good to go.
