Power saving for this usb port / for bluetooth etc. ??
Broken controller, damaged battery (pressing the menu on the controller?) ??
Try doing this on the controller connected with the cable, to usb with good current.
Connect to another high-speed USB port, preferably on a different controller, if there is a block diagram of the motherboard, or it is described in the manual.
Now it works. No tracking issues, some frame dropping, but in fairness I had other stuff updating in the background using up some of my CPU.
But yeah, if someone has this issue.... try updating your bios i guess?
This is a very logical solution to the problem.
This restore to default settings, after a bios update is a normal thing. You should do this whenever you update the bios, without even being asked to do so.
It's normal to need to update the motherboard bios if it's not a mature product.
For example, it has been produced for a year and comes out of the factory with a bios that has been heavily tested by consumers, improved, and the factory delivers the product with the new bios.
Or you bought a product released this month, and not all problems are known.
You can probably read what changes have been made in the patch notes.
This is probably a change in how this port, "vr ready" is handled.
But not every correction is included in the description, it depends on the manufacturer of the motherboard, some describe everything others: "Improved performance; improved security".
Your "vr ready" usb port could turn off other necessary devices to improve its own speed.
