PROBLEM WITH THE XT 7900XTX, PLEASE HELP!!!
Ok so, I just bought a 7900 XTX GPU and while I knew that AMD is still not as far with VR as Nvidia, I am a bit shocked that it is struggling with the same settings my 3080 had before, does anyone know something to try to make the games play smoother?
Right now my index is set to 90hz (I wanted to test if a lower targeted FPS are more consistent).
But it always jitters between 87-90 FPS, making the picture jittery and give me micro stutters.
I also tried 120hz and while it does make the game a bit more consistend, the objects in the world leave some kind of after image from time to time.

Does anyone has any tips or tricks on how to set up the 7900XTX for a smoother VR perfomance?

I just kind of sad, that I can't even go above 200% resolution with such a powerful card.....

Nvidia is not further then AMD with anything lol but make sure you have adrenaline running with that card. And is it a house or partner card? certain partner cards are to be avoided with any brand. I have a RX 7900 GRE and my VR is fine, Played at mu buddies house and he has an asrock RX 7900 XT and no problems. Your display also plays an important role with how your card will resolute.

I really hope someone with the same gpu could help you... tbh I don't know why you chose amd over nvidia if VR was your priority

Oh, don't get me wrong, VR is NOT my priority, by far not!
I play it about twice a week with friends for about 30 minutes to 1 1/2 hours top.
I choose the XTX because for one, it is just cheaper than any of Nvidias top GPU's (and personally I am done sucking Nvidias green D***) and it is actually still faster than the 4080 super (taking raytracing out of the consideration since who the F actually uses it in games for long times?).

So yeah, VR was really not my priority.

BTW. I found the solution myself!
All I had to do was matching the 144hz of the index with my screen refresh rate (it was 160 before) as well as deactivating freesync.
After that all my games are now running smoothly with maybe 2-4 hiccups in 30 minutes (maybe a dropped frame here and there, nothing serious)
