Heres how you do it if you really really REALLY want too:
1) Launch SteamVR & whatever software or game you want screenshots from
2) Then from the SteamVR menu open the VR preview window
3) Set it to use both eyes for the VR preview window
4) Fullscreen the window, then hit "Print Screen" (or "PRT SCR") on your keyboard
5) Open some image program (think paint, but ideally something better, but paint works) then go Edit -> Paste (or just Ctrl+V)
6) Save the image and repeat from step 4 for more screenshots
I honestly don't understand why we never gotten any options to configure the controller-bound-screenshot-function. Or maybe they do exist? but where?? if so somebody knows tell both of us where to find them please 👍
Hope this "helped" 😉
I know this method, It would be annoying that it would take whole minute to take a simple screenshot and I wanna play left 4 dead 2 so not worth it.
I don't understand how it's not possible to take a simple screenshot while using the PC, when you can just play games headset itself and take screenshots without any issues.
For some reason, it now takes a screenshot of only one-third of what I see.

Anyway, thanks for helping me
Go to the desktop window with the shortcut on the controller, press F12.
hint: you don't have to sit down at your desk to press a button on the keyboard
If you directly run Steam link on your quest through wifi to enter the Steam VR.
The right controller still keeps the system built-in screenshot capture ability by holding the meta(∞) button and press the trigger.
(Which will be disabled when using QuestLink )
The screenshot is wider than anything else and you can choose the captured camera (left eye or right eye) in the settings.
Other steaming apps like Virtual Desktop work like the same.
