FIX for Steam is missing a Key Component

I seemed to figure out the problem!! Here’s A fix go into your general/settings in your meta/oculus see if there is an update required if there is update for your oculus make sure after the update to restart computer and oculus!

everything is up to date i have checked all of it the only thing i can't update is the headset its self due to it being a Oculus Quest 1

i can't i check every time but the meta quest 1 has had support discontinued since the start of 2024 ..... gueess im going to have to start saving up for a meta quest 3 then

i just wanted to play some VR Chat but there is not much point since i can't use OVR if i can't boot up steam as i don't have a FBT kit ....yet

I think you can also get vr chat on the meta itself

I got error 301 when I run SteamVR

Also getting the 301 error... also have Oculus Rift 1, it sucks if meta isn't supporing it but I don't see why this shouldn't be resolvable on steams end since it all worked up till a week ago. Would be really grateful if someone had a fix for this.

i have a quest 2 its on the latest update and it still crashes steamvr

found a quick fix for the quest 2, forget the oculus app and airlink use steam link app for the quest 2 launches you straight into steamvr with i must say a pretty good connection

Brotha im looking for a WIRED fix. Steam Link is AirLink basically.
